Star Trek Dream becomes Reality. In 1966, the first Star Trek episodes played on TV. Star Trek has an official website with a complete listing of Star Trek Episodes. There is biography of the Star Trek cast and crew and listings of the Star Trek technology, and medical terms. Gene Roddenberry, Star Trek creator, was ahead of his time, but with the discovery of antimatter, his dream can become reality in this century not the 23rd century. Where are we? With the end of the cold war, most of the general public and many physicists within scientific community have accepted traveling beyond the speed of light. Millions of Star Trek fans around the world know that scientists have a major phobia about going faster than the speed of light. According to Star Trek annals, the warp drive will be invented within the next sixty years. In the recent Star Trek episodes, the antimatter energy source is anti-hydrogen. Today, NASA estimated the cost of making antimatter to be over $60 trillion a gram, which is twice the World's Gross National Product. High energy physicists have produced 50,000 anti-hydrogen atoms, which demonstrates antimatter is technically possible to make. However, there are 6 x 1023 anti-hydrogen atoms in a gram of antimatter. The discovery that comets are composed of antimatter and identification of 108 antimatter elements solves the antimatter energy problem. With a few grams of antimatter (less than the mass of a nickel), people in spacecraft will be able to travel to the moon in days and the planet in days. With metric tons, people aboard starships will be able to travel to the stars in weeks. Star Trek episodes will continue to stimulate the minds of millions of people. Major advances in science, technology, and social behavior are starting to appear in the market place. This is only a very small step for humanity. Gene Roddenberry, Jr. may see his father's dreams become reality. |
