Space Facilities NASA’s 15 Year Strategic Plan, from the 1970’s, is the starting point. NASA planned to build three rockets: Saturn V to send man to the moon, space shuttles to carry thousands of people into space, and third rocket to build Wernher von Braun’s circular space station. We need to build von Braun’s space station and continue with mining facilities, manufacturing facilities, and facilities for colonization of the moons and planets. Wernher von Braun’s circular space station was one-quarter of a mile in diameter and would spun to create gravity. The space station would accommodate 1,000 people with 500 hundred scientists, students, operators, and their equipment plus 500 vacationers. Using $20 million per week paid by Dennis Tito and Mark Shuttleworth, the gross revenue for one year would be over $500 billion. The next space station would be the Love Boat in the Sky. Sex does sell. Mining Facilities would extract raw materials from asteroids, moons, and planets. One asteroid, the size of a large open pit mine, has an estimated mineral content that is valued of $20 trillion. The asteroid could be mined until there was nothing left rather than people worrying the asteroid hitting the earth. Similar mining facilities could also be located on the moons and planets in our solar system. Manufacturing Facilities would recycle and process raw materials into products. The facilities could make everything needed to live in space including future space stations and spaceships for exploring the stars. Unique products could be transported to earth. Colonization
of space would enable people to live on the moons and planets.
Domed facilities would be built to establish an environment for people to
live. Since scientists are very ingenious, they may find a way to recreating Mars’ environment.
By the
end of the millennium, people will be colonizing some of the billions of
stars.
Billions of people's dreams become a reality as they explore Space: The Final Frontier. Government
support is need for building Wernher
von Braun's space station, mining facilities, manufacturing
facilities, and
facilities for colonizing the moons and planets. |
