- Attend World Space Congress Convention Norm Hansen attend the World Space Congress - 2002 convention at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. The WSC 2002 is the second joint gathering of the international space science and engineering communities combined with 34th Biennial Scientific Assembly of Committee on Space Research (COSPAR), 53rd Annual International Astronautics Congress of International Astronautics Federation (IAF), International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) and International Institute of Space Law (IISL). The convention was being held under the auspices of the U.S. National Academy of Science (NAS) and hosted and organized by the America Institute of Aeronautic and Astronautics (AIAA). There were about 250 exhibitors. Some of the highlights were:
