World-Class Elementary Education

Elementary School's goal is to provide students with basic elementary skills for life. To ensure students receive a World-Class Elementary Education, school boards, superintendents, and principals are held accountable the following value based World-Class Elementary School Performance Objectives and Measures rather than compliance with thousands of bureaucratic state laws and regulations. 

Performance Objectives:

  • Students must meet World-Class Education Learning Standards
  • Students have 40 hours of business or community service to understand what adults do.
  • Students receive a diploma signed by principal certifying the student has successfully completed elementary education and is prepared to attend high school 
  • Students graduate with a diplomas in eight or nine years depending on how kindergarten is counted.

Performance Measures evaluate how each school is meeting their Performance Objectives.

  • Percent students receiving a diplomas upon graduation.
  • Percent students having 40 hours of business and/or community service.
  • Percent students receiving diplomas signed by the principals.
  • Percent students graduating in eight years or less.

Mentor schools, who have 90-95% of their students meeting or exceeding the World-Class  Elementary Learning Standards, are identified and help other schools achieve similar results.  Each school's performance is used in the next year's evaluation for school funding.
