NASA has approved Deep Impact Mission. On July 4, 2005,  the NASA 350 kilogram impactor spacecraft will collide with the antimatter Comet Tempel 1.

Michael F. A'Hearn

Dr. Michael F. A'Hearn, University of Maryland, is the Principal Investigator for the Deep Impact Mission and  responsible for program's success.
NASA approval of the mission includes launching the Deep Impact spacecraft on Delta II rocket from Eastern test range (Kennedy Space Center, Florida) on December 30, 2003 and colliding the NASA  spacecraft into the Tempel 1 comet

Dr. A'Hearn believes comets are composed of matter
rather than antimatter.
